Srihari Iyer and Li Hsian are getting married and I am truly honoured to be singing at his wedding. Like I told him about 10 years ago when he asked me if I would sing at his wedding, "YES YES YES!". He's a precious friend and am really happy that the two of them are getting married. They're so made for each other.

Will be playing with none other than the maestro himself, Tay Cher Siang on piano, Vincent Ong on bass, and Faz Aznam of guitar.

BMW Chinese New Year Open House - 23rd & 24th Jan 2010

Oh what fun we had at the showrooms, with Nish Tham on keyboards and Hiro on bass. And love love love lion dances.. so two days of that was a real treat for me especially, coz I LOOVE Lion Dances - growing up in Penang, I used to love Lion Dances during CNY! and still do! We did some Chinese/Mandarin oldies which were super fun - Mei Guei Mei Guei, Wo Yao Ni De Ai, Ru Guo Mei You Ni, Ayo Mama (ni ger pu yao tuay wa shen chi).. and some english old numbers to fit into the shanhai jazz theme.

But we had most fun oggling at those shiny brand new cars... yummy! (one can dream lol!)

Wacky Bar 1 - 11th October 2009

Maya Tan's Wacky Bar was a success! Performed at PJ Life Arts Centre. It was hilarious, funny and what a star studded cast it was! Amber Chia, Patrick Teoh, Daphne Iking, Junji Delfino, Na'a Murad and talented Miss Maya Tan herself! What a blast! And I didn't want it to end... LOL! Thank you to those who came and watched the show!

The No Plastic Bag Bazaar on Merdeka Day 2009

Ida Mariana was part of (and sang at) the the No Plastic Bag Bazaar, as part of the Recyclist which helps raise awareness against the very bad effects of plastic bags to the environment, through their project called Project Daily Million (http://www.projectdailymillion.com/) - which aims to get 1 million Malaysians to say NO to plastic bags and to be more conscious of the evironment.

The No Plastic Bag Bazaar helped raise over RM9,000 this year which benefited the Furry Friend's Farm and the Malaysian Nature Society.

Celebrities/Personalities at the No Plastic Bag Bazaar were Nell Ng, Amber Chia, Deborah Henry, Xandria Ooi, Sharizan Borhan, Junji Delfino, Edwin Sumun, Nikki Cheong, Tony Leo, Peter Ong, Janet Lee, among others.

... Ida sang 'Whole New World' with Faizal Tahir and the finale song 'Lagu Kain Songket' . Songs were performed as part of a sketch written and directed by Dato' Zahim Albakri. The other singers at the ball included M. Nasir, Mama Hapsah a legendary traditional songstress.

Ida Mariana performed for the Miss Malaysia/Miss Universe Finals at the Royale Chulan Hotel . The Song performed with 5 male dancers was RESPECT by Aretha Franklin. Tony Eusoff performed LADY IS A TRAMP. The very vibrant Joanne Kam Po Po (who also organised the entertainment for the night) performed a comedy section and later walked out on the catwalk 'gloriously' on stilts at the end of the entertainment slot.

While she is a lady of the theatre and stage, Ida is also an accomplished jazz vocalist. Ida also takes on many languages, her favourite 'jazz' language being portugese when she does latin jazz.

Other than corporate functions, Ida has been seen at many jazz venues in KL - e.g. Alexis GE Mall, The Top Room, No Black Tie, Bangkok Jazz.
